Farmers have developed technologies, methods and practices by innovation and adaptation to maximize their local resources. Farmers are also using traditional knowledge judiciously for their agricultural needs and to solve their day-to-day problems. Unfortunately the capabilities, capacities, and creative potentialities of farmers have been largely unrecognized, underestimated and underutilized.
The Center for Land to Lab initiatives is a center under Peermade Development Society that promotes local innovations and unique traditional knowle dge practices by bridging the gap between land and lab via documentation, IPR protection, validation, value addition and dissemination through commercial and non-commercial sectors.
Selected innovations /ideas from grassroots will be considered for national level recognition of National Innovation Foundation and support for product development, IPR protection and diffusion through commercial and non commercial channels with the collaboration with various stakeholders.
