About Us

The Center for Land to Lab initiatives is a center under Peermade Development Society   that promotes local innovations and unique traditional knowledge practices by bridging the gap between land and lab via documentation, IPR protection, validation, value addition and dissemination through commercial and non-commercial sectors.

Land to Lab Approach:

This unique methodology for promoting farmer's innovations has been developed by the scientists of Peermade Development Society back in 1999 under the core support programme of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. This approach has been widely accepted and recognized as a participatory tool for promoting farmer's innovations.

Documentation, validation, value addition, IPR protection and dissemination of local innovations and traditional knowledge practices are the activities envisaged in the land to lab programme.
